Edison started preschool this past fall for the first time! This photo was taken on his very first day, September 2nd, 2014.
We were a little bit concerned that he would have a hard time adjusting to preschool and being away from us... however, he has loved preschool from the moment he walked in the door. He goes three times a week for 2 1/2 hours and he always looks forward to going. He loves his teachers, the fact that he gets to go and play with his friends, and the variety of activities they do. This has been such a great experience for Edison as he gears up to start kindergarden next year.
When did my sweet little baby boy get so big!

Throwback Thursday - Odds & Ends from Summer 2014
We had a couple of great trips this past summer and did some really fun things. We also just did our usual summer routine - trampoline/pool in the backyard, hang out, and have fun in the warm sun.
So, here are a few pictures of our comings and goings this past summer...

We spent a lot of time in the pool. Jonathan and Edison also tubed the river many times.
The boys... taking a break from riding their bikes to watch a dump truck.
Walking to Bobby Sox!
The boys (big one included) love to drive the truck around the neighbourhood.
Love all the fresh produce in the summer time! Yay for blackberry bushes and farmers markets.
No summer would be complete without a trip to the PNE
We did a LOT of bike riding!
Hanging out at Jackson Farm
Mr. Smiles
Flying planes in Mission
More backyard fun.

A Quick Look at Christmas 2014
We had a great Christmas this year! There was a lot of time spend relaxing and just hanging out together around the house. It wasn't until a couple days after Christmas that most of our household ended up with a cold... and I ended up with a sinus infection (not fun, let me tell you!).
On top of our hanging out/relaxing time, we also had a few different family dinners to attend/host and we loved spending time with all the different grandparents. I have to say however.... I was pretty much ready to swear off all food by the end of it!
It has become christmas tradition to pick out our Christmas tree at Grandpa and Zia's garden centre. |
Time to decorate! Edison is a tree-decorating pro... he remembers doing it last year and was excited to see all of his favourite ornaments again. Davis tried for a few minutes and then decided to leave the decorating to the bigger people.
Checking out the nativity scene. He learned all about Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus at preschool this year. |
We had a fun night at Grandpa and Elia's house for our usual Christmas Eve yummy dinner. There was lots of music and funny Christmas hats.
Edison was very excited on Christmas morning. He remembers Christmas from last year and totally knows the drill by now. He was very excited to see what was awaiting him under the tree. Davis on the other hand is still a little oblivious to the whole thing. He really had no interest in ripping off wrapping paper and as soon as he got a little peek at the toy underneath he would just yell "Out, Out!"
Christmas morning... pre-destruction |
Checking out the goodies in his stocking. |
Can't go wrong with airplanes! |
It was hard to find a picture of Edison that wasn't blurry - he was buzzing with excitement! |
Yay for new pots and pans! |
Boys and their toys
We had Grandma and Grandpa Andy over for dinner after they returned from their trip to Las Vegas (the lucky bums).
Did I wrap my turkey in bacon this year? Ya I did! |
And of course the day after Christmas is so nice because the kids keep themselves busy playing with all their new toys.
