We had a great Christmas this year! There was a lot of time spend relaxing and just hanging out together around the house. It wasn't until a couple days after Christmas that most of our household ended up with a cold... and I ended up with a sinus infection (not fun, let me tell you!).
On top of our hanging out/relaxing time, we also had a few different family dinners to attend/host and we loved spending time with all the different grandparents. I have to say however.... I was pretty much ready to swear off all food by the end of it!
It has become christmas tradition to pick out our Christmas tree at Grandpa and Zia's garden centre. |
Time to decorate! Edison is a tree-decorating pro... he remembers doing it last year and was excited to see all of his favourite ornaments again. Davis tried for a few minutes and then decided to leave the decorating to the bigger people.
Checking out the nativity scene. He learned all about Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus at preschool this year. |
We had a fun night at Grandpa and Elia's house for our usual Christmas Eve yummy dinner. There was lots of music and funny Christmas hats.
Edison was very excited on Christmas morning. He remembers Christmas from last year and totally knows the drill by now. He was very excited to see what was awaiting him under the tree. Davis on the other hand is still a little oblivious to the whole thing. He really had no interest in ripping off wrapping paper and as soon as he got a little peek at the toy underneath he would just yell "Out, Out!"
Christmas morning... pre-destruction |
Checking out the goodies in his stocking. |
Can't go wrong with airplanes! |
It was hard to find a picture of Edison that wasn't blurry - he was buzzing with excitement! |
Yay for new pots and pans! |
Boys and their toys
We had Grandma and Grandpa Andy over for dinner after they returned from their trip to Las Vegas (the lucky bums).
Did I wrap my turkey in bacon this year? Ya I did! |
And of course the day after Christmas is so nice because the kids keep themselves busy playing with all their new toys.
