An Afternoon of Animals
On Sunday afternoon, Edison and I were back at the zoo... but this time we were joined by my Dad and Renata. The weather was lovely and warm so we enjoyed the walk around.
We saw lots of our old animal friends, as well as a few new ones. This was the first time that I had seen the Cheetah out and about... and she came right up to the fence to show off her beautiful spots. We also watched the Birds of Prey show and saw some pretty amazing birds.

Photos of the Birds of Prey show... This little Barn Owl was super cute
I don't even know how this guy holds his head up!
I love that every time we go to the zoo we see something new. I'm always amazed at the variety of interesting creatures that walk this earth.
"God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."

From Fraser Fest to Country Fest... All in One Day
Yesterday was a day full of fests! We started out the day in New West where Jonathan was playing in a jazz band for the opening of the Fraser Fest.
We've all been feeling pretty rain-weary but this weekend brought the much-needed sun we were definitely craving. Edison and I walked around the Fraser Fest, taking in the booths, the river scenery and the sounds of the jazz music.
This weekend was our city's annual Country Fest so after dinner we headed over to check things out. Edison loved seeing all the animals... and Jonathan loved seeing the mini doughnuts.

We walked into this barn and Jonathan said "Wow, that's a lot of steak!"

An Evening in Stanley Park
Jonathan and I were invited out for a nice dinner at the Teahouse Restaurant in Stanley Park on Monday night. During the summer months, Jonathan DJ's for a company called Audio Edge Entertainment and they wanted to have a staff get-together/short meeting/yummy dinner.
We thought that while we were in Stanley Park, we might as well make good use of our seasons passes to the Aquarium so we headed there first for a quick walk around before we went for dinner.
The sun was briefly gracing us with its presence that day, so we stayed outside at the Aquarium and tried to soak in the rays. We watched part of the Beluga show as well as part of the Dolphin show.
The restaurant is at Ferguson Point in the park and the view is really gorgeous. Before heading in for dinner I took a few pictures of the scenery. After our amazingly scrumptious dinner the sun was going down, so I snapped a few more pics of the ships in the sunset. What an enjoyable evening we had! Thanks, Paolo and Shelley for treating us to such a great dinner.

While waiting for the dolphin show to start I gave Edison a cracker to keep him occupied
