Out and About in the Sun

Yesterday's weather was divine! After I went snappy happy taking pictures all over the garden centre, we went around back to find my dad. On our way we had to stop by the pond to see the fish of course! Edison loves watching the fish.

My dad was hard at work driving around in an excavator/tractor-y thingy. Edison was fascinated and terrified of it all at the same time. Of course, Jonathan had to have a go in it... being like a giant video game and all. So we sat there and watched Jonathan dig in the dirt for a while.

Fish... looking for some food!

Theres my dad... in his tractor

Watching from the safety of the flat-bed trailer

Jonathan getting a little lesson in how to work the thing

Edison, watching from behind the safety of my leg... he was a little scared of the tractor

There he goes... digging the dirt

Later on that day, we were hanging around at home... enjoying our nicely power-washed back deck when Edison decided it was time for the sand box! All winter he's been pointing at it and I keep having to tell him its still too cold... but it finally warmed up to sand box worthy temperatures, so in he went.

Airplane radar going off!!

It was a fun day and we definitely enjoyed the sun and warmth! Tomorrow is back to the real world for Jonathan and I... back to work... for a few more months anyways.

Spring at Trice Farms

With all of this glorious weather we've had in the past couple of days, we decided to pay Trice Farms (Grow & Gather) another visit today and see how things are coming along now that Spring is upon us. Things have definitely filled out and they have a really great selection of gorgeous plants, pots, and all the other garden accessories you'll need.

My dad (Bill) and Renata were featured in an article in the Vancouver Sun recently... click here if you'd like to check it out.

If you haven't made your way in to Trice yet this season, you really need to go check it out! 24565 Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge is the place to be this Spring and Summer!

 Renata, hard at work

The Koi have come up from the depths to enjoy the sun

I was also able to sneak into the back greenhouses and take a look at what's in store for later on this season, once the weather warms up. Its so lush and beautiful... and warm back there, I could spend the whole day there!
