My Bouncing Baby Boy

Edison LOVES the Jolly Jumper. From the moment we brought it home and put him in it, he has loved it. He goes in it many times a day and sometimes stays in it for over an hour! He truly is a Jolly Jumper Baby.

He's come pretty far in a month. At first he just stomped around, happy as can be. Now he is actually jumping in it, and loving every minute of it. The videos show the improvement from the beginning of the month until now, at the end of the month.

This was him on November 6th, not that long after we bought it.

This was him yesterday, November 29th.

Intro to the Exersaucer

Edison is slowly starting to figure out these things he has called hands. He is starting to reach for things, especially his toys. Although his accuracy leaves much to be desired, he tries hard. Once he has a toy in his little grasp his main goal is to get it into his mouth. Its quite the entertainment (for me anyway).

He loves the play mat and has recently started reaching for its dangling objects. Now that he's a little bigger we decided to see if he'd enjoy the exersaucer. Sure enough, he loves its assortment of new toys he can now reach at.

Edison't First Taste of Snow!

Today was our first real snowfall of the year, and from what I've heard, it is just the first of many this year. We decided to go out and enjoy it while it lasted as they predict it will warm up and be raining by tomorrow. This was Edison's first encounter with the snow.

All bundled up and read to go out

Let the Adventures in Blogging Begin!

Well, after much thought, I've decided to start a blog! The main reason being, Jonathan and I have many family members living out of town and I would like to keep them up to date on our comings and goings and, most importantly, tell stories of our most exciting new adventure: parenting! Edison sure has kept us on our toes! But we have been loving every minute of it (minus the lack of sleep part). He is already 4 months old and has changed so much. We have been very blessed!

After mulling it over for a few days, I decided to name my blog "Confessions of a Skateboarding Widow" because me (and others) have joked through the years that I have become widowed due to the amount of time Jonathan spends at the skate park. I thought this name was funny.....and not quite as boring as "Reichert Family Blog". According to Jonathan, Edison is a future skateboarder in the making and has been to the skate park many times since he was only a few weeks old.

So, here goes nothin'. I hope you enjoy!
