Happy New Year!!

We've had a great evening, spending time as a family.... thinking back on all the fabulous memories of 2011 and looking forward to all that 2012 has to bring! Happy New Year!

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles!!

On Boxing Day Edison and I got up and went downstairs to get the day started while Jonathan had a bit of a sleep-in. After eating a little breakfast, Edison was quick to get back to all his fun new toys! He's been having lots of fun with all of them... it's really cute to watch him play and explore these new additions to his (rather large) toy collection.

He played a lot with his new airplane... which is practically the same size as him. He loves that the roof comes off so he can put all the little people in... and out... and in... and out.

All aboard!

The passengers are ready for their flight

It even has a cargo hold

Once Jonathan was up, we decided to have Christmas morning version 2.0. After all, Edison was still in his Christmas pj's... so why not bring out the train table and give him his last Christmas present. We didn't have any plans for the day and it was a good thing... that table took us (meaning mainly Jonathan) over 2 hours to put together! Edison loved every minute of discovering all the little bits and pieces as it slowly came together for the final product.

Very excited to see this big box

Helping his Daddy get the lid off

Always such a helper!

I can never get him to stay still long enough for a good picture

His table comes with planes, trains, and cars. We gave hime a couple of the planes to play with while the table was being set up.

One for each hand!

Jonathan loves putting things together!

Edison finally gets to put some of the pieces on the table!

He decided that the helicopter landing pad was more fun to balance on than land helicopters on

Choo Choo!

The finished product! We kept a lot of the small parts (trees, signs etc.) out for now until he's a bit older.

He loves it! So much fun!
