Adventures with Grandma Part 2 - The Vancouver Christmas Market

After we wandered the Aquarium until closing time, we headed to the German Christmas Market outside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. By the time we arrived at the market, Edison had fallen asleep in his car seat. I transferred him over to the stroller and, much to our surprise, he stayed sleeping. We bundled him up with a warm blanket and off we went.

We wandered through the market for a couple of hours and Edison slept through the whole thing! He missed the yummy food, the carousel, and all the beautiful lights... as well as a bit of a nauseating smell coming from a cheese stand.

It is a charming little market and we were really glad we decided to go at night because all the lights made it that much more fun to wander through. It's all very German and reminded me a lot of being in Leavenworth.

Nutcrackers!

The yummiest smelling fruit soaps!

Grandma, pushing the sleeping babe

Ornaments, ornaments, everywhere

Beer steins

Wooden ornaments

Hot apple cider

Chocolate dipped strawberries? Ummm.. yes please!

We never made it out to this market last year and I'm so glad we were able to see it this year. It was really fun. I'm looking forward to making this a Christmas tradition.... and maybe next year Edison will actually be awake for it!
