Fun at the Caribbean Festival

This past weekend was our city's annual Caribbean Festival which was filled with music, vendors, kids activities and amazing smelling food.

My good friend Shelley and I (along with our little ones) spent some time there on Saturday evening while our husbands were at work. We wandered through the street vendors and would have loved to partake in the food, however all of the food stands had mile long line-ups that we weren't quite willing to stand in. Edison seems especially antsy these days... now that he can walk, he's always raring to go. We did, however, partake in the mini doughnuts... and they were scrumptious.

After we walked around for a bit, we staked out a spot for the evening concert which was a Beach Boys Tribute band. The music was awesome and Edison had a fun time playing on the blanket.

Edison was sporting his Caribbean button-up shirt. I thought he looked pretty spiffy.

This was my first time at the Caribbean Festival and we'll definitely be back again next year.
